Destiny
If
you are one who doesn’t hold yourself in high regard and/or one who
has been subjected to relationships with people who doubt your calling and
judge your walk with God then you need to read the following: THERE IS A STRATEGIC
DESTINY THAT GOD HAS GIVEN TO EACH OF HIS CHILDREN. Romans 8:15 speaks of how
Father God has adopted us into a son-ship that makes us joint heirs with him,
which makes us a part of his kingdom. You share in that kingdom destiny in
your own unique way. Realizing your destiny is always closer than you think.
That being said it’s easy to be distracted and wooed into a different
direction, one that God doesn’t intend for you. In Philippians 3, we
can see the attitude we need to keep us moving, growing, and pressing on to
maturity in Christ. Philippians 3:14 says, “I press toward the mark for
the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” So get to pressing
toward that high calling.
One of the greatest gifts we can receive right now that will ensure we reach
our timely destiny is the gift of hunger. We must pray and ask the Lord to
grant us passion: one that refuses to diminish and causes us to give up our
fleshly desires; one that invades us even during the mid-night hour; one that
is so great that it becomes who we are. Enough of the devil, his evil intentions
and his dastardly deterrents. Enough with our godless ideas and dreams. We
are joined with God and He has far better plans for us than what we can ever
dream up for ourselves.
It’s so easy to be deceived and become disillusioned to chase after the
temporary things of this world. I believe God is waiting for the one who will
make a stand and throw away his desire and self will. I see the Lord watching
for those who will move and forsake all sin. For all will soon see the destiny
of the body of Christ: a body that is vital, thriving and anointed. The good
news is that this destiny isn’t something that will happen one day; rather,
a people filled with faith and willing to release this dynamic destiny over
their lives can access it right now. God sees us as finished and polished.
It’s time we start seeing ourselves like this too. But before new creativity
can be poured out on the earth to us Christians, God waits for those willing
to pay a price. Enough is enough with the excuses that we all use to not follow
the call and destiny set before us. Sometimes we are our own greatest stumbling
blocks. We must go for it, forgetting all we lack and taking the next step
in faith. Remember: God is our shield and our great reward. I hear the Lord
saying: “I will shake the world and my glory will invade and catch like
fire. My people must be willing to ignite. Those who are with me will see the
earth rip open and mercy will cover all who call upon my name.”
Your destiny is hanging just above your head like a plump grape waiting to
be plucked. I encourage each and every one of you who read this article to
become more rooted and grounded in love. And to know the voice of the Lord
and become passionate and willing to press on to the next move that God is
pouring out.
Praise the Lord.
